'Warhammer 40,000' heads to the screen

Games Workshop and Amazon have reached a deal to bring the Warhammer 40,000 universe to the small and big screen. The agreement grants Amazon Content Services exclusive rights to develop films and television series set in this universe, with the potential to expand into the Warhammer Fantasy universe in the future.

While production on the Warhammer 40,000 films and television series is still in the early stages, franchise fans can expect to see some of their favourite characters and stories come to life on screen in the coming years.

BlackBerry manages to sell 200,000 Passports as tide starts to turn

The new BlackBerry Passport is making waves and has sold over 200,000 units in two days. The Passport also sold out in 6 hours on BlackBerry’s website and within 10 hours on new partner Amazon.com according to CEO John Chen.

The Passport, which integrates a 4.5-inch square mutl-touch screen with a three row capaciive QWERTY keyboard, is focused on productivity and the enterprise but has also stoked the interest of longtime BlackBerry loyalists who have been waiting for a modern and competitive BlackBerry smartphone to replace older models.

Windows 8 hits 100,000 app milestone

After eight months in the market, Microsoft's Windows 8 OS has celebrated 100,000 apps available on the Windows Store. Coming in the Windows 8.1 update (now available for preview) is an enhanced Windows Store, background app updates as well as support for gift cards. Key applications such as Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp and Songza are also making their debut on Windows 8 and Windows RT.
