Apple transforms facade of Bill Graham Auditorium in SF ahead of September 9 special event

Apple is reportedly deploying a large number of workers, electricians, carpenters and security personnel to transform the Bill Graham Auditorium in downtown San Francisco, Ca, ahead of next Wednesday's Special Event.

There are already various Apple flags on top of flagpoles plus posters and a huge Special Event banner decorating the front of the auditorium. A little bit of history, Apple used the same venue to launch its Apple II computer 38 years ago. The Bill Graham Auditorium can seat 7,000 people.

Review: iPod Touch (2015)

This isn't your daddy's iPod Classic. The new iPod Touch looks and feels like the last model released in 2012. It features the same 4-inch Retina Display and coloured aluminium rear casing. What's different is what Apple has managed to change on the inside.

We now have an updated Apple A8 processor which is the same as what the iPhone 6 offers. A new 8 megapixel iSight camera seriously boosts the iPod Touch picture and video taking capability by putting one of the most popular cameras in a new device. Thanks to sensor and processor, iPod Touch users can now shoot slo-mo video as well as burst-mode photos. Also onboard is the M8 motion co-processor which aids in tracking fitness.

Motorola diversifies flagship line with new Moto X Play

London - The third generation Motorola Moto X was unveiled at an event here in London and it comes in two variants. The flagship is the Moto X Style and a mid-range model with similar specs but featuring a different processor is the Moto X Play. 

Moto X Play comes to Canada this August on Bell Mobility, Koodo, TELUS, Videotron and Wind Mobile. In Canada, Moto X Play will cost about $400 off contract. Hit jump for more details.

Apple updates iPod Touch line with new camera, processor and 128 GB variant

Apple just updated the iPod Touch which has been long considered 'the iPhone without a phone' and has been a popular iOS introductory product for younger users and teenagers who can't get a phone. Now featuring an updated Apple 8X 64-bit processor, a new 8 megapixel camera as well as new 128 GB capacity for users who want to carry their entire music and video collection with them in their pocket.

"iPod touch gives customers around the world access to Apple Music, the App Store and iOS, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, starting at just $249,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone, iPod and iOS Product Marketing. The new iPod Touch is available in a variety of new colours including Space Grey, Gold, Silver, Pink and Blue.

The new iPod touch starts at $249 (CAD) for the 16GB model, $299 (CAD) for 32GB and $369 (CAD) for 64GB, and the entire iPod family in its five new colours is available starting today through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.ca), Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. For the first time, iPod touch is available in a 128GB model for $499 (CAD) through Apple Retail Stores and the Apple Online Store
