Air Canada partners with Audible in flight

Air Canada today became the first airline to offer Canadian Audible Original Audiobooks and Podcasts and more in its in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, further expanding its product offering to travellers. Through premium and dynamic audio storytelling, Audible provides Air Canada’s customers immersive, relaxing entertainment during their travel journey onboard all while 30,000 feet up in the air.

Air Canada app gets new features to improve your travel experience

Air Canada has also recently improved its app to make flying with them more convenient. The app now allows you to:

• Use mobile boarding passes that are easier to scan at security and boarding
• Link your passport details to your Aeroplan profile for faster check-in
• Navigate airports with integrated maps of Air Canada and Star Alliance hubs
• Pre-order in-flight meals if your are flying in Air Canada Signature Class or Premium Economy on select international flights

The app is available for free through the Apple App Store or Google Play. 

Air Canada partners with Mattel to offer exclusive kids’ shows on board

Air Canada introduced fresh new features to enhance its products and services. One of its newest changes comes about through a partnership with Mattel. The airline will be the only Canadian airline to offer shows like Barbie Dreamtopia, Thomas & Friends, and Polly Pocket for its young travellers. These shows and movies will add dozens of hours of fun and engaging kids’ content to Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment library. Air Canada is also working on adding more new content partners soon, so stay tuned for more exciting updates.

Bell, Air Canada to offer free messaging on flights

Bell and Air Canada have teamed up to offer free access to messaging apps for all Aeroplan members worldwide on Wi-Fi-equipped planes. Bell will sponsor the inflight Wi-Fi services across Air Canada's fleet, including Air Canada Rogue and Air Canada Express, starting May 15. This deal will let you use apps like iMessage, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Viber, and Messages by Google. You don't have to be a Bell subscriber to get access.
