Grabb launches app to help Torontonians pre-order and pre-pay for meals at over 30 restaurants

Grabb is a Toronto-based mobile app that aims to help people skip-the-line at busy downtown restaurants. The app, which is available for iOS & Android, lets users pre-order and pre-pay for meals at over 30 restaurants in the King West, Queen West and Financial core including Hero Burger, Aroma Espresso Bar, What A Bagel, and Buna’s Kitchen.

Other mobile food apps like Tab and delivery app Just-Eat are already popular with Torontonians, and with Uber Eats rumoured to launch its delivery service here soon, there couldn’t be a better time to be launching an app for hungry downtowners.

Samsung's 'Look At Me' app aims to help families living with autism

On  December 2014, Samsung Canada partnered with Autism Speaks Canada to launch the "Look At Me' Project, an app designed for families with kids living with autism. Canadian families were given the opportunity to apply for one of the 200 Samsung devices pre-loaded with the app. 

This week Samsung and Autism Speaks Canada provided us with an update and early progress report on how the families were doing with the app and the opportunity to meet with families to learn about their experience first hand.

Second Cup launches new rewards program in mobile app

Something is definitely brewing at Second Cup Coffee Co. The Canadian coffee shop has just announced the national launch of their free loyalty "Rewards" program within a mobile app. The program allows coffee lovers to earn points for every dollar spent at Second Cup.

To join Rewards, customers can download the free Second Cup Coffee Co. Rewards app from the App store or Google Play, or pick up a card at the cafe. Members an also use the app on their Apple Watch (one of the first Canadian companies to debut an app for the new device).

Rihanna uses Dubsmash app to tease out new release BBHMM

Last night Rihanna tweeted out that her new release was about to drop marking March 26 as the date to hold on to. So, like the legions of adoring fans I waited to see what was up. There were several instagram links and her morning her tweet pointed us to Dubsmash - an app that allows users to dub and share.
