Second Cup launches new rewards program in mobile app

Something is definitely brewing at Second Cup Coffee Co. The Canadian coffee shop has just announced the national launch of their free loyalty "Rewards" program within a mobile app. The program allows coffee lovers to earn points for every dollar spent at Second Cup.

To join Rewards, customers can download the free Second Cup Coffee Co. Rewards app from the App store or Google Play, or pick up a card at the cafe. Members an also use the app on their Apple Watch (one of the first Canadian companies to debut an app for the new device).

The Rewards program members will earn 10 points for every dollar spent. To launch the program, those who join before May 20 will also receive a welcome offer of 500 points redeemable for a free brewed coffee, espresso or tea beverage of any size including customized drinks.

Special perks will also be offered to members including free beverages on special occasions and other personalized bonus offers. The app also offers some fun elements including a "tap to drop" feature that responds to gravity and releases a drop. The app also includes an instant feedback feature that allows for a fast and easy way to communicate with the company to share opinions, new product ideas and experience with Second Cup.

The Second Cup Coffee Co. Rewards app aims to make the consumer experience more rewarding with fast and flexible rewards as well as offering more convenience with digital payments in-app and a cafe locator.
