An iPhone SE refresh might not be coming in 2024

There have been rumours that the next iPhone SE would get an all-screen design similar to the iPhone XR. But that might not happen anytime soon. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo casts doubt on the 2024 release of the iPhone SE 4. He claims the company is likely to cancel or postpone the release of the device due to "lower-than-expected" shipments of the mid-to-low-end iPhones.

Redesigning the iPhone SE would entail increased costs. And if the company can't sell sufficient volume, it might deter them from committing to its production. Apple may keep the existing iPhone SE design, especially with signs of an economic slowdown in the coming years. The tech giant might not be too keen to invest in a new product line.

Apple TV app will supposedly come to Android

Android users may finally get easier access to Apple TV+ service. Twitter user ShrimpApplePro, who has accurately leaked the iPhone 14 Pro's Dynamic Island hardware design, claims the company is internally testing the Apple TV app for Android. However, there isn't a specific timeframe for its release. If it comes out, it'll make it easier for Android users to access the Apple TV+ streaming service instead of having to rely on the browser version of the service. It would also help Apple attract more viewers to its service, so it would be a win for the company, too.

M2 Mac Pro expected to get delayed

Apple hasn't equipped its Mac Pro line with its latest M2 chip yet. But that might change soon, or soon-ish. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the company is delaying the release of an M2-equipped Mac Pro because it is reportedly developing a new next-generation M2 Ultra chip specifically for the high-end desktop. This M2 Mac Pro will supposedly sport up to 24 CPU cores, 76 graphics cores, and 192GB of RAM. It is less powerful than previous rumours, but that might be a cost-cutting measure for what's already considered a premium (a.k.a. very expensive) desktop.

Another reason for the delay is Apple looking to move its manufacturing from Texas to Vietnam. The existing Mac Pro models are finalized in Austin, even though its main internal components are made in China. If this move is true, the internal components will continue to be made in China, while its finishing will be done in Vietnam. That should save time in the long run, but it'll affect the release for now.
