Arcade Fire to launch new album with live performance on Beats 1

Beats 1 and Montreal-based music powerhouse Arcade Fire will be hosting a special live show for friends and fans to celebrate the launch of the band’s fifth studio album Everything Now. The intimate performance will take place on Thursday, July 27th in Brooklyn and will include the U.S. live debut of songs from the new album and will be live streamed exclusively on Apple Music.

Arcade Fire’s Everything Now, will be available everywhere on Friday, July 28. Everything Now will be released on CD, cassette, digital download and heavyweight black vinyl LP through an exclusive 360-degree partnership with global media and e-commerce platform Everything Now in synergy with the Sony corporation.

Toronto's BadBadNotGood featured today on Beats 1's "The Echo Chamber with Mike D."

While their name sounds like a Trump Tweet, Toronto's BadBadNotGood (BBNG) brings an eclectic mix of music and technology to the forefront and is set to showcase their talents with the Beastie Boys' Mike D in his Beats 1 show "The Echo Chamber with Mike D.

With a performance, interview, plus a cover with Mike D (Beastie Boys) on drums! The live content is rare and will be in Apple Music through Beats 1’s "The Echo Chamber with Mike D.” It airs today, Saturday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m. EST, with an encore on Sunday at 3:00 a.m. EST.

Drake's "Views" comes out today exclusively on Beats Music

Toronto native and hip hop sensation Drake took to Beats 1 late last night to talk extensively to DJ Zane Lowe about his anticipated album "Views from the 6," which the artist explained was a love letter of sorts to his cty and its people that he worked on during the Winter. "Views" is available exclusively on Apple Music for one week after which it will be available to competing streaming services. The album drops today which is also the first day of sales for his "Summer Sixteen," world tour.

Beats 1 invades Toronto in time for the release of Drake's "Views from the 6"

Canadian artist Drake is set to release his latest album Views from the 6, which drops on April 29 exclusively on Apple Music. To celebrate the release an OVO Sound Radio exclusive interview with Drake out of Toronto is  airing at 10pm ET 4/28 on Beats 1. Drake is expected to play tracks from the new album.
