As a modern BlackBerry loaded with the much awaited QWERTY keyboard, the Q10 is one of the most anticipated smartphones in the market. Featuring a brand new BB10 operating system,  a snappy multi-touch screen plus the familiar BlackBerry keyboard, the Q10 merges RIM's past and future. I find out if it is worth the wait.

Today is BlackBerry Q10 day in Canada as all the major carriers are offering the latest BlackBerry smartphone. For many BlackBerry fans, this is the device to get and the one that they've been holding out for. Here are some of the photos we've been able to snap of both the black and the white variants of the BlackBerry Q10. Which one do you like best?

We were just at the Rogers Centre where the BlackBerry Q10 was previewed on the eve of its Canadian launch during the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox game (Score was 7-9 in favour of Toronto!).

We got to check out the BlackBerry Q10 which is launching in Canada today and we also got a quick and dirty demo of the white version of this much awaited smartphone. Rogers is one of the carriers that has been taking pre-orders of the Q10 and they have a limited time exclusive with the white version.

BlackBerry Q10 coming to Canadian stores and carriers on May 1st

The much awaited BlackBerry Q10 has an arrival date. The BB10 powered QWERTY-keyboard toting BlackBerry handset  will be available in Canada starting May 1 on Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility and TELUS starting at $199 with a 3 year contract. It will also be available on Virgin Mobile Canada, Fido, Koodo Mobile, and Sasktel, and available in select retail locations, including Best Buy, Future Shop, TBooth Wireless, The Source, Walmart Canada and WIRELESSWAVE.
