Stan Lee’s last cameo isn’t in ‘Captain Marvel’

Marvel’s latest offering reminds us of the legacy that Stan Lee left behind right from the get-go. Captain Marvel opens with a modified version of the Marvel Studios’ signature, which features many photos of Stan instead of the MCU heroes. The introduction was also followed by a simple text that says, “Thank you, Stan.” But that isn’t just the only appearance of the icon in the film. And it seems it won’t be the last time we see him in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, either. According to an interview Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige did with ET Online, we still have more Stan sightings to come. "We shot a couple of others, so we're coming up on the last of them, yes," he said. Feige also confirmed that one of said cameos is for the next MCU movie, Avengers: Endgame. When asked about Spider-Man: Far From Home, he offered, "We'll see." For now, you can catch Stan in Captain Marvel, which is already out in theatres.

Marvel pays tribute to the '90s with retro site for 'Captain Marvel'

Before there were social media and other more functional sites to help you create a website, there were the likes of Geocities, where you would spend many hours crafting these intricate, kind of gaudy (by today's standards) personal sites. To capture that era of the internet as well as the time Captain Marvel lived in, Marvel created a rather appropriate website to promote the upcoming film.
With the movie set in the '90s, we get a website filled with bright backgrounds, rather liberal use of pixelated GIFs for both words and images, and even the TV spot shown in a faux Real Player (which is cleverly renamed as Kree Player). Scroll down and you even see a site counter and a fake Guest Book. All the information about the movie is there, but it's just presented in a way that would certainly bring you back to the era.

‘Captain Marvel’ will be first Disney+ exclusive film

Marvel Studios

After Captain Marvel hits theatres next month, you won’t be able to re-watch it later on any other streaming service except for Disney’s upcoming Disney+ service. The company’s CEO Bob Iger announced at an investors call on February 5th that Captain Marvel will be the first film to exclusively stream on its service. Disney also plans to drop its US$140 million licensing program so all its content will be made exclusive on its service. Iger is also saying that many of its sub-brands—which include Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm—are working on content specifically for Disney+. He even mentioned National Geographic, which Disney is in the process of acquiring as part of its purchase of 21st Century Fox.

This move will not impact theatrical releases though, according to Iger. We also don’t have that many details about the service right now. But it’s expected to cost less than Netflix and come out sometime at the end of the year.

New 'Captain Marvel' trailer is a dazzling display

We finally have the longer and more in depth Captain Marvel trailer which explains a lot of things about Brie Larson's take on Carol Danvers A.K.A Captain Marvel. She's originally a human pilot  but has been made Kree and is part of an intergalactic group of heroes called StarForce.

Danvers finds her way back to Earth during what seems to be the Skrull-Kree War, an galaxy-wide battle between two warring alien civilizations. We see glimpses of various evolutions of Captain Marvel including the epic Binary persona which can channel the power of a star. How will Captain Marvel lead into Avengers 4? We'll have to wait until March 2019 to find out.
