Google launches site to make remote desktop access easier

While there is a Chrome app already that helps give you remote access to someone else’s PC, Google is making it easier for you to troubleshoot a friend/relative/co-worker’s computer issues. All you need to do is visit this site. One person will need to set up the tool and generate an access code that the other person will need to log in. Once that’s set up, then you’re ready to help out.

Google revamps and moves Chrome Remote Desktop to the web

With Google killing off its Chrome Web Store apps, it needed to use one of its more useful apps to the web. The Chrome Remote Desktop app is now accessible through your browser instead. On top of moving it online, the app gets a new look to come with it. It’s currently in beta and Google is asking for feedback so just keep them coming. Google plans to kill the Chrome app once this is fully up and running. Quick note: You will still need to have the Chrome Remote Desktop Host on your computer to get this to run.

Google introduces Chrome Remote Desktop for iOS

Google has finally ported its Chrome Remote Desktop for iOS. And just like the Android counterpart, the iOS version will let you control your computer from your iPhone or iPad. It will also let you give your friend temporary access to your desktop, which could be of help when you need some troubleshooting. Make sure you set up remote access via the Chrome Remote Desktop app from the Chrome Web Store.

The app is slowly trickling out per region on Apple’s App Store, so wait a bit if it hasn’t made its way to you yet.
