Don't look now, Palm might be making a comeback
Sold, stripped for parts, and left to die, it seems that the final chapter on Palm's existence had long been written. It seems that Palm might be making a comeback since TCL Communication, who makes the Alcatel OneTouch line of smartphones, plans to relaunch Palm as a US-based brand of smartphones.
Based on early reports, the rebooted Palm brand won't necessarily be running its own operating system. The webOS component from Palm was acquired by LG from HP when the latter tried to dispose of the parts of its 1 Billion acquistion of Palm. If we look at what TCL Communication has done with Alcatel, we should likely expect a Palm branded device running Android.
