Keanu Reeves to reprise his role in 'Constantine' sequel
Over two decades since the first film came out, John Constantine is set to make a comeback. And Keanu Reeves will be reprising the titular role—at least according to reports from Deadline and Variety. Both outlets confirmed that Warner Bros. is working on a follow-up film to the 2015 Constantine movie. Aside from Reeves, writer Akiva Goldsman and director Francis Lawrence will return to the project.
Lawrence will produce the movie alongside J.J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella. An Abrams-produced Constantine spinoff was expected to air on HBO Max, but sources claim it has been cancelled after two years of development. It seems to be another casualty of the Warner Bros.'s merger with Discovery.
