Kobo closes $50 Million investment round, aims for global market

The eBook Reader segment is one of the fastest growing markets today. Toronto-based Kobo has closed a $50 Million investment round led by a leading institutional investor. The company plans on, among other things, a European expansion of its products and services. Existing investors also participated in the round; investing $13M. Kobo's Reading Life is the industry’s first-ever global social eReading experience and is now available to both iPad and iPhone users. Reading Life allows users to dive deeper into their reading experience.
