Kobo's top Valentine's Day sneaky read list

You can shower your Valentine with chocolates and gummy bears but there's just something more delicious in a really good read. When I asked my friends what book came to mind as an indulgent steamy read many tell me that Fifty Shades of Grey was their first pick. Are you surprised? Didn't think so. However, shading books like this from the eyes of strangers on the bus, coworkers, and kids made them self-conscious. But those who had it on their eReaders felt they could really surrender into their books without hesitation.

Kobo makes a splash with the new Aura H20

Kobo is about to make waves with the newest addition to the eReader category. At a splashy pool party last night, the company unveiled KOBO AURA H20 - the world's first waterproof eReader. Available starting October 1, this new E Ink eReader will enable passionate readers to take their devices not only on the bus or in bed, but also to the pool and in the bath.

Kobo launches app for Microsoft notebooks, tablets and desktops 

Kobo just announced the launch of their app designed specifically for Microsoft notebooks, tablets and desktops running the new Windows platform including devices by Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba and the Microsoft Surface.

The Kobo for Windows app enables Readers to access all the features they love on their Kobo device right on their Windows notebook, tablet or desktop.

“We are excited to give our Readers access to their Kobo eBooks on the Microsoft Windows ecosystem. Just like Kobo, Microsoft understands the importance of providing users with greater mobility and new ways to enjoy their favourite content. The Kobo for Windows app is designed to make Kobo content come alive on Windows devices,” said Sameer Hasan, Director of Reading and Mobile Platforms, Kobo.

Sony debuts thin and light PRS-T3 Reader

Sony hasn’t given up on the eReader market yet with the new $129.99 PRS-T3 Reader. Boasting to be the only eReader with its own protective snap cover, the PRS-T3 is as thin as a pencil and as big as a small paperback. It still has a higher resolution, paper-like screen than will make reading for hours an enjoyable, flicker-free experience. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can download those must-read books easily into the device. And since it is equipped with Sony’s Quick Charge feature, just plugging it in for three minutes allows you to read an entire model. This eReader will be available this month at Sony Store locations and participating retailers nationwide.
