Ubisoft pushes back release of 'Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids' expansion to May 13

Instead of releasing Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first major expansion on April 29, Ubisoft has announced that Wrath of Druids will be coming out on May 13. According to the developer, it needed to delay the release to "deliver a more refined experience." Ubisoft also promised to publish an article that provides transparency and insights into its development process. Beyond that, the game developer didn't expound on what caused the issues.

OWC thinks it has the solution to the MacBook Pro's lack of ports

Other World Computing (OWC) has always been one of the more reliable after market solutions providers for Macs and they're meeting the new MacBook Pros lack of ports head on with what looks to be an aluminum base that adds some of the missing ports (i.e. SD card Slot, HDMI-out, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt are the likely ports in question).  The base, which snaps to the bottom of the MacBook Pro, does add substantial thickness and weight (enough to make Apple engineers squirm), but should sate the need for more traditional I/O for pros. It's either this or dongles, people.

‘Monument Valley’ releases first expansion pack on Google Play

Puzzle game Monument Valley has just released its first expansion for Android. Forgotten Shores has been available on Amazon Appstore since last week and now finally makes its way to Google Play Store. It adds eight new levels starting with The Chasm. Forgotten Shores offers players the option to start the game with the original ten levels or play the new ones. You can purchase the expansion within the app for US$1.99.

Verizon CEO denies Canadian market entry

Looks like Verizon won’t be posing a threat to Canada’s “Big Three” carriers (Bell, Rogers, and TELUS) as Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam dispelled rumors that the New York-based telecoms giant was setting up shop here. 

The statement was made by McAdam during a phone interview with Bloomberg after Verizon bought out Vodafone’s 45 percent share in Verizon Wireless for $130 billion—not only giving them full control of the United States’ most profitable mobile phone operator but making this the biggest acquisition in the US in over a decade.

“Verizon is not going to Canada,” McAdam said. “It has nothing to do with the Vodafone deal, it has to do with our view of what kind of value we could get for shareholders. If we thought it had great value creation we would do it.”
