Google's 'Night Sight' mode for Pixel phones is a game changing low-light solution

Google's Pixel smartphones have buiilt a reputation for being the very best smartphone cameras without resorting to multiple cameras or larger image processors. A lot of the advantages of Google cameras lie in the computational power and AI (artificial intelligence) that is built into their devices. More impressive is the HDR + functionality which can pull colour and detail while maintaining depth and clarity.

All generations of Pixel devices now get another superpower in the latest Night Sight mode. This uses computational power to take bright and clear photos even in the dimmest conditions. I took my Pixel 3 with a beta version of the Night Sight feature to New York City and was amazed at the colours and detail of the images I took.

Facebook now enables Save feature on iOS, Android, and the web

Ideal for people who skim Facebook streams and don't want to get sucked in to specific content right away, Facebook is announcing the launch of ‘Save.’ Every day, people find all sorts of interesting items on Facebook that they don't have time to explore right away. Now you can save links, places, and media Pages that you find on Facebook to check out later when you have more time. Only you can see the items you save unless you choose to share them with friends.

You can view the items you saved at any time and on any device by going to the your Saved items in the “More” tab on mobile, or clicking the link on the left hand side of Facebook on the web. 

From your Saved items list, you can view your saved items by category. You can also swipe right on each item to share it with friends or move it into your archive list.

Save will be available to everyone on iOS, Android, and web over the next few days.
