Square Enix game director confirms ‘Final Fantasy XV’ release date delay

The rumours are true. The upcoming Final Fantasy XV game will be getting that two-month delay we reported earlier. Game director Hajime Tabata is delaying Final Fantasy XV. It’ll be coming out on November 29 instead of September 30 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Tabata says they want to make sure the game runs as smoothly as possible when they release it.

"Our objective with Final Fantasy XV was to deliver a Final Fantasy of the highest possible quality to every single person who buys the game," Tabata said. "We have completed the master version but when it comes to that highest possible quality, we felt that we had not quite reached that version yet. In order to make this master version an even better product, we have been creating a downloadable add-on known as a day-one patch."

Reports claim ‘Final Fantasy XV’ release is delayed to November

Final Fantasy fans you might have two more months to wait for the long-awaited Final Fantasy XV to launch. Rumours have surfaced that the new release date is pushed to November 29th instead of September 30th. Gamnesia cited a source said to be from retail chain GameStop management that the company has received date-adjusted promotional materials for the game, and that they have orders to hold these until after August 14th. They’ve even shown an image with instructions on how to apply a sticker on an assembled standee with the announced released date on it. Kotaku also got the report and had another “non-retail” source to back them up. Of course, it’s still just a rumour until Square Enix confirms it or not. We will keep you posted for any updates.

First English trailer for ‘Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV’ shows off star-studded cast

This is the first time we’re seeing an English trailer for the film companion of the upcoming Final Fantasy game. This Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV trailer shows off just how star-studded the English version is. Nyx, a member of the magic-wielding royal guard called Kingsglaive, is played by Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul. The oracle the Kingsglaive has to protect is Lunafreya and she’s played by Game of Thrones’s Lena Heady. And the father of the game’s main character Noctis is played by another Game of Thrones star, Sean Bean.

Kingsglaive will be out in limited theaters in North America on August 19th. It’ll be available for digital download on August 30th and on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 4th. It’s also part of the Deluxe and Ultimate Collector’s Editions of Final Fantasy XV, which is coming on September 30th.

‘Final Fantasy XV’ trailer features insane road trip action

When we say road trip action, we mean people coming out of a car to beat up a crew of guys in armor and gigantic land mammals come out of a car. No, we’re not sure what Final Fantasy XV is about just yet. But we are trying to piece things together with the new trailer unveiled at Jump Festa 2015 Japanese convention. For now, we see it involves a road trip of sort and a quest through another fantasy world. There is no word yet when the game will be shipping though.
