Get crafty this Mother's Day with this Google Doodle

The special interactive Google Doodle for Mother's Day wants you to get a bit creative by letting you create a virtual card for your mom or any mother figure in your life. Google says they got the idea for this Doodle after a surge for searches on "homemade Mother's Day card" as well as searches for other virtual gift ideas. It gives you a bunch of design ideas you and your kids can play around with, and then you can send this off to your mom, who can access a link to the animated card. So, if you want to give your mom something else this Mother's Day, it's time to Google Doodle away.

Google celebrates Lunar New Year with an AI experiment

Google wants to teach you about the ancient art of Chinese shadow puppets this Chinese New Year. Aside from the really cute Google Doodle, there's also Shadow Art AI experiment. It’s a web-based experiment that uses TensorFlow.js, which runs machine learning models right from the browser. It uses your device’s front-facing camera to teach you how to contort your hands into shadow puppets. Turning it into a bit of a game, you’re given 20 seconds to form each animal, with the goal of going through the full lunar cycle as quickly as possible. It’s available in 11 languages and is coming to Canada, the US, Europe, and throughout Asia tomorrow, February 5th.

Google wants you to save Magic Cat Academy with Halloween Doodle

If you’re feeling a bit bored, Google has a new Halloween-themed Doodle to keep you preoccupied. You’ll be playing a game set in the Magic Cat Academy where you play Momo, a cute black cat with magic powers. Your mission is to defeat ghosts that have invaded the school by doodling the symbols that show up on top of the head of the spirits. It can be played on both the browser and mobile devices. It gets kind of addictive if you get into the spirit of it.
