Google Fit gets health-centric YouTube video feed

As part of Google's "Stay Fit #WithMe" campaign, Google Fit is making it easier to find health-related videos on its app. It will integrate a YouTube video feed with clips from various creators, focusing on home workouts, mental wellness advice, and meditation videos as well as eating and drinking healthy with soy or cacao drinks..

Google aims to encourage its users to meet or exceeded the World Health Organization's and the American Heart Association's minimum recommendations for weekly physical activity, which is more important now as people's mobility remains limited because of COVID-19. The video carousel will roll out to all users this week. There might be regional differences with what kinds of videos are available, but as Android Police notes, they only see one playlist.

Google Fit officially rolls out Dark Mode and new charts for sleep tracking new changes

Google Fit has officially launched a couple of features that have been available for some users. Dark Mode is now fully rolled out to users. This can be enabled/disabled with a toggle in the app’s settings menu. There are also new charts for sleep tracking integrations. The app used to let you pull sleep data from third-party apps before. But now the information is presented in a way that will help you better understand your patterns and trends. So, if you choose to act on it, you can. You can also edit or add sleep history manually if you think it was incorrectly entered. And now iOS users will be able to see the route they ran/walked/biked/exercised as tracked by wearable devices or other apps/services as well as a summary of the workout.
