Tom Tom Spark Cardio health trackers updated to record 24/7 heart rate monitoring 

Tom Tom's Spark Cardio health trackers, which integrate heart rate monitors and a GPS, can now be updated via a software update in order to get 24/7 heart rate monitoring.

Check how your heart rate changes over the day and get new insights on how your activities affect your heart rate.

To update, simply connect your watch to your computer using the charging cable and MySports Connect will automatically update your software. If you do not have MySports Connect installed, follow the step-by-step guide here: www.tomtom.com/sports/software-updates.

CES 2015: MyKronoz to reveal Swiss-designed wearables

And so it begins....we're days away from International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and already the steady flow of wearable news is streaming in. MyKronoz is promising to show off its large array of Swiss-designed wearables which run the gamut from activity trackers to full-featured smartphone adjuncts.

Microsoft Band is a cross platform fitness wearable 

Microsoft has taken the wraps off its anticipated wearable called Microsoft Band. The fitness tracker will work with competing Android and iOS as well as Windows Phone devices and features the ability to track  steps,your heartbeat, calories burned and sleep quality, you know, standard, fitness tracker stuff. it will also display notifications from your phone and can take notes and set reminders with Cortana. Some apps, like Starbucks, will allow added functionality, like the ability to generate barcodes to pay for coffee.

Micrsoft band, which features 10 sensors,  will be available to order only in the US for $199 and in limited quantities starting tomorrow. No news of Canadian availabilty or pricing yet.
