Source: Lenovo

Aside from launching a new Chromebook, Lenovo debuts a couple of new Lenovo Tab P11 tablets. One is the second-generation Tab P11 Pro designed for media viewing. It gets a 600-nit 11.2-inch OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It runs on a MediaTek Komapnio 1300T octa-core processor, promising 120% more power than its predecessor. It gets a "ThinkPad-inspired" detachable keyboard and support for Lenovo's Precision Pen 3.

Now, if you want to try out the tablet-oriented Android 12L, you should opt for the second-gen Lenovo Tab P11. This tablet has an 11.5-inch regular LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a MediaTek G99 chip, promising 50% more power than its predecessor.

Lenovo's new Chromebook has a 120Hz refresh rate

Source: Lenovo

Lenovo is dipping its toes in the 16-inch Chromebook segment with the new IdeaPad 5i Chromebook. Its biggest selling point is that 2.5K display with an extremely fast 120Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and a maximum brightness of 350 nits. There will be a 60Hz, 300-nit FHD version, which we assume would cost less. This Chromebook will retail in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa this month with a starting price of €549 (around CA$717).

The Lenovo IdeaPad 5i gets a 12-hour battery life, but we aren't sure if that'll translate with that high-resolution, high-refresh-rate display. It has a keyboard with 1.5mm travel, WavesMaxxAudio tuned speakers, FHD camera with a physical shutter, Intel Pentium 8505 or Intel Core i3-1215U, up to 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

LG introduces MoodUp refrigerator with colour-changing LED doors

Source: LG

LG's introducing some quirky features in one of its new appliances. The company showcased at IFA 2022 its new MoodUp refrigerator featuring colour-changing LEDs and built-in speakers. Yes, you can play your music from your fridge. Using the LG ThinQ app, you can choose from 22 colours for the upper door panel and 19 for the bottom panel. There are even themes that you can choose from depending on things like Season, Place, Mood, and Pop. Season replicates the different times of the year, and Mood feels like an appliance version of a mood ring.

As for the built-in Bluetooth speaker, you can use it as you would other Bluetooth devices and play music or podcasts on the MoodUp fridge. If the lights aren't your thing, you can turn that off and have the MoodUp refrigerator come in Lux Gray or Lux White. This ref has LG's On-Device AI chip for smart home appliances, allowing it to support AI, voice recognition, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. LG hasn't shared pricing or availability for the LG MoodUp yet.
