Kensington's new rugged cases protect iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3

Kensington announced its BlackBelt and SafeGrip rugged cases are now available for the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini tablets.

As the iPad continues to get thinner and lighter, it is used in a variety of environments, from the classroom, conference room or family room, making it vulnerable to drops, bumps and scratches.

The Kensington BlackBelt and SafeGrip rugged cases are designed to protect the iPad with a tough, padded layer of rubber and additional features such as extra thick corner protection, and a raised bezel to prevent screen scratches. Check out the details here.

Apple's latest iPad ad celebrates DIY music and performance

The iPad has truly transcended its original purpose as a content consumption device into a tool for creation and connectivity. The latest iPad ad, which debuted last night during the Grammy Awards is titled "Make Music with iPad," featuring recording artist Elliphant, who is shown creating a song, recording and performing always with an iPad Air figuring in the process. What's amazing is how the ad manages to tell a cohesive story in one minute.

Apple issues iOS 8.1.3 update now available OTA

Apple released the iOS 8.1.3 for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches that brings a number of bug fixes and improvements. It reduces the amount of storage space required for a software update as well as fixes to the Spotlight search feature. The update should be available to users via over-the-air Software Updates on their devices.
