Rumoured LG Wing with its flip-out second screen shows up in video
LG has been testing out dual-screened smartphones in the last few years. Its previous two attempts, the Velvet and V60, needed a separate second screen accessory to make this happen. A new rumoured device called "Wing" is seen in a new video, showing off an attached secondary display. The phone you see in the short clip is said to be "a near-final version of the phone." The 4-inch screen, which sits perpendicular to the 6.8-inch main display, supposedly flips out from the main screen's bottom. It isn't shown in the video, though.
Instead, what we see is the phone being used while driving. You can see a music player interrupted by a call coming in through the smaller screen as the navigation app continues uninterrupted on the primary display. Other use cases could be watching a video on the main display while tweeting or messaging on the smaller one, or stream games with your Discord server comments on the second screen, or using the secondary display as on-screen controls for games. Of course, this relies on whether the screens will support all apps or a select few. According to Android Authority, the LG Wing will reportedly run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 or 765G chipset, but the specs or release date haven't been confirmed yet.
