Canada is getting the Nokia Lumia 900 with LTE

Today, Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop announced at the Mobile World Congress that the Nokia Lumia 900, the first of Nokia’s Windows Phone-based range to feature high-speed LTE connectivity, will soon be available in Canada through Rogers. Telus announces LTE service for Feb 10

Telus finally takes the wraps off its LTE (Long Term Evolution) 4G data network tomorrow and has marked the milestone by announcing a slew of LTE devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the LG Optimus LTE smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE will be available for $649.99 and the LG Optimus LTE will be available for $99.99 on a three year term. The Samsung Galaxy Note will be available for $199 on a three year term.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE coming to Bell

Bell is going to offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, its first LTE tablet, starting on December 7th. The smaller Galaxy Tab has all the features of its 10.1 inch counterpart but is slightly more portable. Featuring a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage ( a 32GB option migh be available). Bell currently sells the 4G version of the 10.1 Galaxy Tab for $650 off contract.

Review: LG Optimus LTE Android smartphone

What LG has done by releasing the LG Optimus is set the Android smartphone bar really high. In some cases, the LG Optimus, is higher in specs and features  than Samsung's 'chosen' Galaxy Nexus which is the flagship Android device of the season sporting the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Visually unassuming, the LG Optimus is surprisingly thin and light for a smartphone of this pedigree. It brings a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM and an HD display which is stunning to behold. The Optimus LG also features an 8 Megapixel camera as well as the ability to shoot 1080p HD videos.
