Kevin Feige hints at the reason why certain characters survived ‘Infinity War’

Image: Disney, Marvel Studios

Nope, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige didn’t release important details about next year’s follow up to Avengers: Infinity War but he did give us something to speculate over. He recently spoke to io9 and shared an interesting tidbit about the Avengers who survived Thanos’ actions at the end of Infinity War. We’ll keep the quote under the cut so for those who don’t want to be spoiled can scroll right through.

Tom Holland ‘accidentally’ leaks title of ‘Spider-Man’ sequel

Marvel has seemed to have leaned into the joke of Spider-Man actor Tom Holland being bad at keeping secrets and has him “leak” major news about the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film is supposedly titled Spider-Man: Far From Home. He showed us the front page of the script he just got for the film. Now, we don’t know if both Marvel and Tom are trolling us but there is no other detail outside of the title. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered, though, especially with how Avengers: Infinity War ended.

New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ TV spot reminds us Scott Lang is an Avenger now

While we’re certain we won’t hear anything about the fate of the Avengers in Infinity War (this movie is set before all hell broke loose after all), it doesn’t mean we won’t be reminded that one of the main stars of this film is an Avenger now. At least that’s what Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) wants everyone around him to remember. This new Powers TV spot highlights more of the banter between Lang and his arguably more capable partner Hope van Dyne a.k.a. Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). We also get to see a bit of the film’s antagonist, Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) wreak a bit more havoc. Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for a release in the first week of July.

Don’t expect a second season of ‘The Defenders’ anytime soon

Perhaps the low numbers The Defenders has pulled in terms of viewership has dissuaded Marvel and Netflix from making another season. But Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb has said during a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session that it’s “not in the plans right now, but you never know!” The show is labeled as a “limited series” on Netflix and had eight for its first season, which started streaming last August.

While we might not see the superheroes together, Marvel and Netflix has since dropped the first season of The Punisher and the second season of Jessica Jones. Luke Cage’s second season is coming this month, while Iron Fist season two is coming in late 2018. Daredevil’s third season is also coming later this year.
