Microsoft Bing revamps music video search capabilities

Microsoft Bing changed search capabilities for music videos with popular track highlights and song preview feature right from the results page. Bing provides results from YouTube, MTV, Vimeo, and Artist Direct and arranges these results into a full-screen grid. However, you can only access the information through video tab or individual search results pages and not directly on Bing.com.

Microsoft offering free Skype group video calls, worldwide call minutes for Xbox One

Microsoft is offering Xbox Live Gold subscribers with Xbox One consoles some Skype perks for the next six months. Group video calling will be free as well as 100 worldwide minutes per month for the next six months, which will allow you to call landlines and mobile devices in over 50 countries with 1080p video using the Kinect sensor.

Microsoft invites everyone to experience Xbox One

Reminding us how mundane and ordinary some of our lives are, Microsoft has kicked off an invitation to experience Xbox One, at least vicariously through the regular people who are being invited to see what the next gen console and set-top box has to offer. Set to be launched on November 22, Xbox One is being tagged as, "the only all-in-one entertainment system that brings together content loved by gamers, movie buffs, sports fans, and TV lovers, all in one place."

Instagram and Flipboard coming to Windows Phone 8 soon

Popular services are slowly making their way into the Microsoft mobile ecosystem with the impending arrival Instagram and Flipboard to the Windows Phone 8 platform. Announced at Nokia World, Kevin Systrom, Instagram CEO and co-founder, said in a statement the photo and video sharing app will make its way to the operating system in the “coming weeks.” Meanwhile, Flipboard will first land on the Lumia 2520, the company’s Windows RT tablet, before it is brought to other Windows Phone devices.
