Netflix announces first slate of series and films based on Mark Millar’s stories
Just to refresh your brain a bit. Netflix bought Mark Millar’s company, Millarworld, to start developing original content with Mark and Lucy Millar for the streaming service. The first thing out of the gate was the comic book The Magic Order, which was Netflix’s first foray into comics and the biggest selling new comic-book franchise in over two decades. Now, we’re getting a couple of new series and three upcoming films to look forward to. The two shows include Jupiter’s Legacy from Steven S. DeKnight and a multilingual version of American Jesus. And the films include Empress, which will be written by Lindsey Beer; Huck, which will be written by Ted Melfi; and Sharkey The Bounty Hunter, which will be written by Michael Bacall.
