Microsoft Hyperlapse app adds more support for Android devices

Microsoft updated its Hyperlapse beta app on Android to add more devices it can support. It now works on Motorola Moto X, Motorola Moto G (first and second generation), and the Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The prerequisite bug fixes are also in this update.

This Hyperlapse app is similar to the one Instagram released. It lets you create sped up, steady video of your many adventures. And since Instagram hasn’t released their version yet, the Microsoft one is the next best thing to use.

Motorola Camera app now lets you use your Android Wear device as a shutter

Selfie addicts, rejoice! Motorola has just updated its Camera app to turn your Android Wear smartwatch into a shutter. The caveat though is it only works with the Motorola Droid, Moto X, or Moto X (2nd-generation). You just need to tap on the wearable when you are ready to take a shot. The update also brings bug fixes, which are always a good thing.

Motorola reads your notifications out loud with Touchless Control app

Motorola updated its Touchless Control app for Moto X, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx, and Droid Ultra phones running Android 4.4 KitKat. Users just need to say “What’s up” or “Read notifications” to have their latest notifications read to them without touching the phone. It’s not exactly ideal to doing this in public as it reads your unread text messages and emails out loud but it works if you’re in the car alone.

The Touchless app currently supports Canadian French, U.S. English, U.S. Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
