‘Narcos: Mexico’ gets second season
While we’ve been seeing the Marvel shows leave Netflix, here’s one franchise that’s expanding. Narcos: Mexico is getting a second season. It was originally meant to be the fourth season of the original Narcos story, but the focus was on the beginnings of the Mexican drug trade in the 1980s. The first season was about the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel. It stars Diego Luna as the drug lord in the making, Félix Gallardo, and Michael Peña as DEA agent Kiki Camarena. The show is produced by Gaumont Television. Eric Newman will return as executive producer and showrunner. He will be joined by executive producers José Padilha, Doug Miro, Carlo Bernard, and Andrés Baiz.
