Samsung gifts latest Galaxy Z Flip6 phones to nearly 17K Paris Olympic athletes

As the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris commences, Samsung has announced it will be gifting nearly 17K Olympic athletes  a special edition of the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip6 phone to nearly 17K athletes representing their countries from across the globe. In an effort to eliminate language barriers and offer accessibility for the athletes during the games, the device’s latest Galaxy AI features will offer a seamless line of communication both in Paris and to family and friends back home.

Canada Soccer engulfed in drone spying scandal, coach suspended

The Canadian women’s soccer team is facing a major scandal after instances of drone spying on rival New Zealand. The latest incident, involving a drone hovering over a New Zealand practice session on Monday, led to the suspension of head coach Bev Priestman.

Investigations revealed that the drone operator was a "non-accredited" member of the Canadian team's staff. Moreover, it was discovered that a similar incident occurred during a New Zealand practice on July 19. As a result, two additional staff members—Joseph Lombardi, an “unaccredited analyst with Canada Soccer,” and Jasmine Mander, an assistant coach—were sent home.

Apple gets in the spirit of 2016 Olympics with limited edition Watch bands

Apple is reportedly issuing a series of limited editon Apple Watch bands to commemorate the 2016 Olympics. The bands represent country colours to bolster national pride during the awaited event which kicks off in Rio next year. 

Available exclusively in Brazil at the Apple Store at VillageMall in Barra da Tijuca, the nylon bands will represent the 14 top competing countries and should make for a nice keepsake or gift for attendees of the Olympic events. These are sure to become valued collectors items for Apple Watch aficionados.
