Razer Stream Controller competes with the Stream Deck

Source: Razer

Razer wants to take on the likes of the Elgato Stream Deck with its newest accessory. The Stream Controller, which the company co-developed with Loupedeck, is a touchscreen device designed to quickly launch shortcuts and control software and hardware on a PC. Twitch streamers use Elgato's accessory to control all parts of their stream. And Razer's new accessory is built mainly for live content creation.

It has 12 haptic LCD touchscreen keys and three tactile analog dials on either side of the display for adjusting audio levels for mic, music, and more. You have eight programmable buttons at the bottom that can toggle between different layouts or launch commands. You can program its primary 12 switchblade keys to trigger commands or macros, with customizable icons and the ability to adjust haptic feedback from pressing a touchscreen key. Swipe gestures are also available to access more keys. The extra dials on the Stream Controller make this a unique device.

Razer debuts new Barracuda Pro gaming headset

Photo: Razer

There are a couple of new Barracuda series gaming headsets from Razer. But let's take a quick look at the more premium, do-it-all Razer Barracuda Pro. In Canada, it retails for $349.99. And that gives you dual wireless connectivity (2.4Ghz via a USB-C dongle and Bluetooth) and support for two connected devices. Razer calls it SmartSwitch Dual Wireless and lets you switch devices with a double-tap on a dedicated button.

The Barracuda Pro has bigger 50mm drivers than its predecessors and beamforming microphones for noise cancellation. It also gets active noise cancellation, plush leatherette ear pads, and a built-in THX Achromatic audio amplifier that promises more powerful, accurate sound.

Razer unveils ultra-light Viper V2 Pro gaming mouse

Razer follows up its light Viper gaming mouse with an even lighter one. The new Viper V2 Pro wireless mouse drops more weight from 69g to 58g. But it does get more features that should appeal to esports players and enthusiasts looking for a precise, flick-friendly input for their games. It has the new Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which promises 30,000 dots per inch resolution and 99.8% accuracy. It uses AI to guide tracking and has 26 levels of customization for height (when tracking starts or stops) versus the three levels on the original Viper. It has a dedicated DPI button, so you can tweak sensitivity even without using the software.

It also has the third-generation optical mouse switches that reportedly end accidental double-clicks and debounce delay (wait to filter out unintended input signals). It's also expected to last 25 percent longer, too. You can recharge it via USB-C. The Razer Viper V2 Pro retails for $189.99 in black or white.
