Runtastic and Jawbone’s Up app can now share your data

If you use Jawbone’s activity trackers and Runtastic at the same time, this new collaboration is for you. The data Runtastic collects when you work out can now be synced with Jawbone’s Up app. This’ll make it easier to put all your data in one place. To get it up and running, you need to be using Runtastic 6.3. The moment you connect with the Up app, it’ll sync all your information automatically.

Runtastic brings apps to Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is gaining not just one Runtastic app but three of the company's apps, which will be available at the Apple Watch's launch. You'll be getting access to the flagship Runtastic app, Runtastic Six Pack app, and Runtastic Butt Trainer. The added features for the Apple Watch include a Glances feature, which shows you the avatar on your wrist so it'll be easier to follow each exercise demonstration. You'll also be able to track your training plan progress (including level, training day, and next training day/time). You'll also get actionable notifications. One is it allows you to start a set during a workout. And another is the "Recover Now" notification that provides you with a countdown to the next set and shows you an avatar that demonstrates the next exercise.

With the flagship Runtastic app, you'll also be able to monitor your statistics right from your wrist. And you can even review your weekly Runtastic app activities.

Runtastic and Oculus Rift to offer 3D fitness exercises

Runtastic, together with Oculus Rift, are introducing the future of health and fitness with Runtastic for Oculus VR. They are bringing a selection of popular strength and toning workouts to the Oculus VR including squats, lunges, yoga routines, and 7-Minute Workout. This will let you complete workouts whether you are while you’re visualizing exercising atop a hillside, inside a beachside villa, or in a futuristic black hole. There will be other “locations” added in the future to help create that ideal fitness or meditation area for you. Runtastic will be showcasing this new technology at CES 2015 at Booth #74107 in Tech West from January 6 to 9, 2015.

There are certainly a variety of health and sports-focused wearable trackers in the market today and many of those interact with smartphone apps. Joining them is Runtastic's Orbit which is a 24-hour tracking device that allows users to track their daily movements, fitness activities and sleep cycles. In combination with the just-released Runtastic Me app, Orbit further expands the Runtastic Ecosystem and is the first Runtastic hardware product geared towards “anyone and everyone,” regardless of an individual’s affinity for sports or fitness. The Orbit is the company's first wearable device and the first product to be available in Canada through an online store (and soon retail).
