Samsung Galaxy Fit and Fit-e are now available in Canada

Samsung’s lightweight fitness trackers—the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit-e—are now available in the country. Both trackers are designed to keep track of your workouts without weighing you down. Both bands come with MIL-STD-810G ruggedness, Bluetooth 5 support, and Samsung’s FreeRTOS software. The Galaxy Fit comes with a 0.95-inch full-color AMOLED screen and runs on a Cortex M33F processor. Unlike the Galaxy Fit-e, it lets you interact with your notifications. It also has a larger 120mAh battery, which Samsung says can last for seven to eight days on a single charge. The Galaxy Fit retails for CA$149.99.

Now, if you just want a fitness tracker, the more affordable Fit-e comes with a smaller monochrome display and a 70mAh battery. Battery life is roughly the same since you get a smaller screen that isn’t coloured. The Galaxy Fit-e goes for CA$69.99.

Samsung leaks new wearables lineup it might be launching next week

Just like in the past, Samsung doesn’t just launch its new phone at its big Unpacked event. And it looks like we might see its new wearables, too. The Galaxy Wearable app for Android now has a whole bunch of new products, which have been rumoured but haven’t been launched yet. One is called the Galaxy Watch Active, which matches the leaked sports-focused smartwatch that was dubbed the Galaxy Sport. According to the app, it has a 40mm and comes in at least two colours. Another is the Galaxy Fit and Fit e fitness bands. Both have watch-style rubber straps. It isn’t clear yet what the “e” stands for, or how the models differ from each other. Lastly, there is the Galaxy Buds, Samsung’s new wireless earbuds, which we’ve talked about in previous posts.
