Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s storage capacity gets leaked in teaser video

One leak after another of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 keeps showing up online. The latest one is a 30-second intro clip of the phone showing the blue version of the phone with the yellow S Pen. This version of the S Pen has been rumoured to have more capabilities beyond serving as a stylus. It’s said to be rechargeable with Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, this video doesn’t confirm this news.

What the leaked clip does show is the storage capacity of the new Samsung flagship. It shows a 512GB version of the phone with support for a 512GB microSD card, meaning you can get up to 1TB of total storage on this phone. We just have a few more days to get confirmation of these specs as Samsung’s set to unveil the new phone at its Unpacked event in New York City this August 9.

Samsung lets US customers pre-pre-order the Galaxy Note 9

While Samsung hasn’t officially launched nor named the upcoming Galaxy device but those in the US can “reserve the next Galaxy” already. Yes, the tech company is doing this without naming the device or its specs. The page does feature a teaser for the S pen-equipped Galaxy Note 9 and its launch event in New York happening on August 9. Signing up won’t mean payment is needed upfront. It just needs those who sign up to give their information, select a carrier, and “reserve” the device. What the page offers is “early access to pre-order,” which should guarantee that you get the phone by the 24th.

There’s also an offer from Samsung to trade in an old, eligible phone to get up to US$450 trade-in credit that can be applied to the Note 9 purchase. This offer will stay valid until August 9, 2018, 11:59 p.m. ET, and will let people reserve the device from August 10, 2018 at 12:01a.m. ET to August 12, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Samsung accidentally leaked Galaxy Note 9 on its site

“Say hello to super power” is the Galaxy Note 9’s tagline. And we know this because Samsung itself accidentally leaked the new Note 9 on its own website. Evan Blass a.k.a. @evleaks spotted the image and shared it on Twitter before it gets taken down. The photo more or less confirms the yellow-coloured stylus and the presence of an audio jack. Samsung is set to unveil the device on August 9, so you’ll hear more from us then when the phone officially launches.
