Netflix to remake ‘She-Ra’, will come to service in 2018

Netflix teams up with DreamWorks Animation to bring a classic 1980s cartoon to life. The two will be rebooting She-Ra, which will be done under the eye of Eisner Award-winning author and executive producer Noelle Stevenson. The original series debuted in 1985 as an answer for demands of having a strong female hero in a fantasy series. It seems fitting with the way things are going in the world today that we’re getting a 21st century treatment for the show. She-Ra is Princess Adora, the twin sister of Prince Adam of Eternia, a.k.a. the “defender of the universe” a.k.a. He-Man. To combat evil, He-Man wields the Sword of Power, while She-Ra makes use of the Sword of Protection. You can watch the original She-Ra on Netflix.

On top of remaking She-Ra, a number of other DreamWorks production will be making their debut in 2018, these include DreamWorks Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, Harvey Street Kids, The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, Trollhunters (Part 3), and 3 Below from the Tales of Arcadia trilogy.
