Stardew Valley has started rolling out a major update for iOS and Android, bringing a ton of new stuff to the game. Patch 1.5 adds new features like a new beach farm layout, new NPCs and enemies, ostriches, and a new location called Ginger Island. You can check out the complete list of new content here.
The Android version of Stardew Valley gets bumped up to version 1.4, bringing new features to mobile for the first time. Some of the new features include late-game building upgrades in town, new 14 heart events for every spouse, and new farm fish ponds. There are also over 60 new items, 24 new hairstyles, 181 shirts, as well as new hats, pants, and boots. Oh, and there's even tailoring. Stardew Valley also adds a Quality of Life improvements, 14 new music tracks, and the capability to transfer saved files on the PC to mobile. And yes, sheds can be upgraded, too.
On top of those features, the game gets "hundreds of bug fixes." Unfortunately, there is no news when the iOS version will be getting the update. Stardew Valley costs $10.99 on Android.
It's not news that Stardew Valley is getting a multiplayer mode. It was announced at Nintendo Direct last year that it was coming to the Switch. But now, we get a release date. Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone announced it'll be coming to the Switch on December 12, Wednesday.
This cooperative online multiplayer mode will let up to four players coexist on one farm. The host player will live in the farmhouse while the other players get cabins. The players get to work together and share the spoils of hard labour. While the world state and overall pool of cash are shared among all players, ConcernedApe reminds players in his latest blog post, "inventories, skills, achievements, collections, individual relationships, quests, and crafting/cooking recipes" are unique to individuals. The update brings with it a new voice chat and text-based communication tool. The update will come for free to all Switch players. Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One should expect the update soon.
Popular farming simulation and role-playing game Stardew Valleyis now officially available on mobile through Apple’s iOS platform. The game is available for both the iPhone and iPad. If you’re unfamiliar with the title, it’s similar to games like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing. You’ll be tasked to take over a small, failing farm and you work to make it a successful farm once again by planting and tending to crops, raising animals, and crafting goods to sell. You also do things like fight monsters to earn money, engage with townspeople, and mine ores or fish, among other things. The game cycles through seasons so there will always be new crops and activities to partake in year round. The game costs $10.99 but comes with no in-app purchases.
