When do we get hooked on Netflix?

Netflix just released the latest set of "hooked" episodes of some of the most popular series streaming on the service. You know, that one particular episode that completely SUCKS YOU IN and makes you want to continue watching. It's that one episode that has kept 70% of viewers watching and completing the season. However, in doing reseach of our viewing habits, Netflix also discovered that this isn't just an observation of us here in Canada but it's pretty universal.  Canadian viewers were pretty much in-line with global hooked episodes for a number of series.

Netflix outs 360° virtual reality trailer for ‘Stranger Things’

Netflix’s first foray into experimenting with virtual reality is for one of its hottest new shows, Stranger Things. The streaming service released a 360° virtual reality trailer of the show that brings you right into Will Byer’s living room. If you haven’t seen the show yet, you’ll get the tone and feel of the sci-fi horror series just from watching this. Since it’s available on YouTube, you can watch it on your smartphone (make use of the YouTube app) and plug it into your VR headset (if you have one). If you don’t, you can still swipe through the screen as you watch it. It can also be viewed on your PC.

‘Stranger Things’ producers are ready for possible future seasons

If the producers of the new Netflix hit Stranger Things have it their way, they are ready for several more seasons. Netflix hasn’t confirmed a follow-up to the show yet but if online buzz is any indication, then it’ll be a waste if they don’t continue.  Executive producer Shane Levy told /Film, “Things end up being resolved to some extent at the end of Season 1, but not entirely. And that’s why we’re so hopeful we get another few seasons to live with these people a little longer.”

And we’re hoping the same thing too for this sci-fi series that has a Spielberg-esque feel to it mixed in with a bit of John Hughes. It’s created by the Duffer brothers and stars Winona Ryder.
