By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

GMC's 2017 Acadia Denali brings the solid professional grade build and performance expected from a tough truck but with all the luxurious trimmings and the latest technology expected from a highline flagship SUV. I had the 2017 Acadia Denali for a week, just in time to entertain visiting family and take them around town in this solid six-seater.

First Look at the 2017 GMC Acadia SUV

Text and photos by Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Whistler, BC – Invited to experience what the 2017 GMC Acadia SUV had to offer by GM Canada, I disembarked my Air Canada plane to find myself in sun-soaked Vancouver airport. I was to find my way to the Fairmont hotel which was a 15-minute walk from the domestic area, check-in with GM representatives and be on my way to a secluded resort right at the foothills of Whistler.

The 2017 Bentley Bentayga is the ultimate luxury SUV

The 2017 Bentley Bentayga is hoping to set the bar real high for luxury SUVs. This chic beast isn't just about bespoke wood trim and lavish leather interiors, it screams excellence from every pore.

Bentley is calling this the “fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world.”  It is backing up these claims with a 600 hp powerplant capable of  664 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 200 mph. This is supercar-level performance in an SUV that can tow 7,700 pounds of cargo.

The interior is a nod to excess and luxury with the hides of 4 cows, 15 separate pieces of veneer, mineral glass gauge covers, a self-winding Breitling clock (worth a fortune on its own) as well as all the latest infotainment and assistive driving technology. The cost, you ask? How about US $229,100 before delivery or options. Buyers who signed a purchase contract before the Bentayga was released get a special edition Breitling sport watch with GPS tracking, sweet, eh?

Audi plans to unveil all-electric SUV in 2018

There will be an all-electric sport utility vehicle from Audi, but it’ll be coming three years from now. According to Audi’s engineering chief Ulrich Hackenberg, the company plans to bring a battery-powered “sports activity vehicle” early 2018. It will range upwards of 500 kilometers and it’s going to be “very attractive.” The image above was shown by Hackenberg at Audi’s annual press conference. Of course, there is no word yet where they will sell it and for how much.
