Evernote for iOS gets ever better with latest update

Evernote has singlehandedly evolved its cloud note-taking service to a complete ecosystem composed of notebooks, bags and various knick knacks. On the software side, it has gotten better through time. The latest update for iOS users brings four times faster synchronization, faster and more responsive app performance on iOS 7, advanced customization options such as themes (everybody loves themes) and most importantly a fix to some of the more persistent bugs that have confounded users.

SwiftKey Note keyboard app for iOS leaked

Long revered as one of the best mobile keyboards available for use on Android devices and tablets, even going as far as licensing its software to BlackBerry for the BB10 OS, Swiftkey keyboard, or some form of it in a new app, may now be finally seeing its way onto Apple's iOS platform.

Although not much is known in regards to an official release, prolific technology leaker @Evleaks, who is known for being spot-on with his scoops, posted the image above on his Twitter account moments ago. Stay tuned for more. We highly doubt this is purely a replacement keyboard for iOS, it is likely a standalone app.

SwiftKey sets its eyes and keys on car entertainment and navigation

SwiftKey changed the way many of us interact with their smartphones by making tapping and typing a thing of the past. The company has smartly decided to broaden its horizon by applying all it learned in mobile to car entertainment and navigation systems. SwiftKey has partnered with in-car entertainment manufacturer Clarion for their AX1 Android-powered touchscreen car stereo system coming to market in Asia this year. This makes it possible for passengers and parked driver to quickly enter navigation information, run searches and manage entertainment. Since The AX1 also includes a web browser for surfing, email and apps access, having a smart input method makes a whole lot of sense. Can the carputer be far behind?

SwiftKey raises 17.5 million in Series B funding to further its Android development

One of the driving catalysts in me becoming a devout Android user, aside from the customization, is having the ability to use SwiftKey as my on-screen keyboard. Simply put: it's the best money you'll ever spend on an app and should probably be the first thing you buy when you switch to Android and get yourself setup. SwiftKey is so good, in fact,  it also happens to provide the autocorrect software for onscreen keyboards found on BlackBerry 10 and Samsung devices.

Today, SwiftKey announced a new 17.5 million dollar Series B round of funding led by Index Ventures. This new round will help the UK-based developer further break into the North American market.
