Video: HP Envy X2 Windows 8 hybrid PC demoed

Here's the HP Envy X2 hybrid PC that's a $849.99 full featured Ultrabook that also converts into a Windows 8 tablet. We shot this demo last Monday at the HP Windows 8 event in New York where we saw some of the future products from HP.The HP Envy X2 comes to Canada on December 9, 2012.

HP's Windows 8 tablets to feature unique technologies

HP is looking to get back in the tablet game in a big way. Its Windows 8 tablets, which should be available later this year.

"We will be very focused on the commercial tablet opportunity, which is completely under penetrated. And, we have some unique intellectual property that we're going to apply," HP's SVP of Americas sales for HP's printing and personal systems division, John Solomon told  VARS and technology integrator news website CRN.

RIM to release 32GB 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook on August 9th in Canada only

Research In Motion has just announced the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook which was revealed back in BlackBerry World.  Featuring an improved 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM a standard 32GB or memory and the same rock solid build, ports and features as the original BlackBerry PlayBook.

A Canadian exclusive, the new 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook  tablet will be available from Bell, Rogers and TELUS in Canada on August 9, 2012. Additional variants of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet supporting various high speed cellular networks are expected to be available in the coming months from carriers in the US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Google's Nexus 7 tablets arriving in Canadian stores before pre-orders ship

A number of Canadian early adopters who pre-ordered Google's Galaxy Nexus on June 27 are upset that their tablets haven't yet shipped while some retail stores like Staples have already sold out of their initial stock. Some buyers, like myself,  are thinking of cancelling their onlinepre- orders and instead hope to find one of these 7-inch Android Jelly Bean tablets in the wild. This would  save them some money as Google Play demands a $20.00, 2-day shipping and handling charge.

The 16GB variant of the Google Nexus 7 is apparently available online and in stores from Staples.ca with free one day delivery.
