Twitter app Carbon gets redesign

If you use Carbon for Twitter, then you’re in for a redesign treat. The unofficial Twitter app features a new interface, among a host of other features. The app also now allows you to loop Vine videos, play Vine videos in full screen, tap images in your timeline, and activate the Do Not Disturb mode. The update is currently rolling out of the Google Play Store.

BlackBerry pulls latest version of Twitter app, advises users to roll-back

BlackBerry has pulled the latest Twitter version 10.2.2 from the BlackBerry 10 app store after customer complaints started coming in. What the Waterloo-based tech company wants you to do is roll back to the 10.2.1 version. You just need to uninstall Twitter from your smartphone, search for the app on BlackBerry World again, and then download the “stable” version of the social network.

Twitter introduces login verification and photo galleries

iOS and Android Twitter users are getting an update with new features including a new kind of two-factor authentication, gallery view for photos, improved list section, and other bug fixes and improvements. The new optional login verification allows you to approve login requests directly from the mobile app without relying on text messages.

Review: Blaq Twitter app for BlackBerry PlayBook

The BlackBerry PlayBook's small size, portability and touch capabilities make it an ideal device for avid Twitter users and followers. So far, we've been using Twitter on the less than ideal browser version which was scrunched up on the PlayBook's bright but small  1024x600 pixel screen. Thankfully, the developers at Blaq created an app that makes it a breeze to Tweet off.
