Twitter rolls out new profile pages to everyone

The Twitter profile revamp isn’t just for a select few anymore. Twitter has introduced its new profile pages for everyone using the site. Not only do Twitter users get a new look, there is also now a tally of how many times you’ve favorite tweets; the month and year you joined is now on display; and there is a separate page for all the photos and videos you’ve uploaded. If you don’t have the new version yet, you can head over here from your desktop and click the “Get it now” button.

Twitter’s new profile layout looks much like a Facebook profile

You’re not alone in thinking that the profile redesign on Twitter looks very much like your Facebook profile page. Twitter has started to roll out the new look to a select number of users, including Hollywood stars like Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, and Kerry Washington. The header photo is stretched out at the top of the site, you get a square to left for your profile photo, your followers and photos are tiles at the bottom of your profile. Yup, it definitely has a Facebook feel to it.

Aside from the new look, Twitter will make the font size bigger for your tweets that get the most engagement. You can also pin one of your best tweets to the top of the page. And you can choose what type of tweets you can see when you view another user’s timeline, including just the tweets, tweets with photos or videos, or tweets and replies. The new features will reportedly be coming out in the next few weeks.
