iPad 2 ships today in the US

The iPad 2 line at the Walden Galleria Apple Store in BuffaloApple's iPad 2 begins shipping at 5PM Eastern time today in US retail stores as well as Best Buy, AT&T and Verizon stores. The updated tablet, which features  dual-cameras, an updated 1GHz A5 dual-core processor, improved graphics performance,a gyroscope and a 33 per cent thinner design than the previous model while maintaining the same price point is expected to be a popular device.  Apple has also started accepting online orders to US buyers. The iPad 2 is expected to come to Canada on March 25.

Google to extend free Gmail calls through 2011

One of the cooler features introduced by Google to its Gmail web-based mail program is the ability for users in the US and Canada to make free calls directly from their browser. As long as you have an Internet connection, a mic and speakers you can easily make calls. Those who have been waiting for Motorola's Milestone to make an appearance in Canada now have the option of buying one unlocked from online technology e-tailer Expansys.ca.

Selling on their website for $654.99, the Motorola Milestone, is the 3G GSM version of Motorola's popular Android phone sporting the latest Android 2.0 OS.
