'Gotham Knights' won't come to PS4, Xbox One

Unfortunately, if you've been waiting for the Batman Arkham spinoff to come to your last generation PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you're waiting in vain. This October, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Gotham Knights would only launch on the PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. WBIE and WB Games Montreal made this decision "to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience." Gotham Knights is expected to launch on October 25.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal pushes back 'Gotham Knights' release to 2022

Gotham Knights was initially scheduled for a 2021 release. But Warner Bros. Games Montreal has pushed back the release of the game to next year. In a statement released on Twitter, the developers want to give the game "more time to deliver the best possible experience for players."

The studio didn't say the delay was COVID-related, but it won't be surprising if the new work-from-home setup has affected its development. Gotham Knights will be available on the PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
