Nintendo released information about the New Super Smash Bros. games (and someone in my household is excited). Masahiro Sakuria, Director of Super Smash Bros., announced the games, slated for release in coming months, will offer new characters, launch windows and online functionality.
Like many people, I didn't 'get' the idea of the Nintendo Wii U or the need for the Gamepad. During a recent event hosted by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, I got the opportunity to check out the console for the first time and see some of the games.
I also got the chance to speak with Ans Beaulieu, Producer of Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, made by Warner Brothers Games Montreal. Ans explains how the Gamepad is complementary yet integral to the game which was designed from the ground up for the Wii U.
The Gamepad serves as Batman's Bat-Computer giving him clues and activating weapons and gadgets. Users can also take the game off the HDTV and play on the Gamepad while someone is watching TV.
