Microsoft Windows 10 October 2018 update won’t alert you to check storage space ahead of installation
It might be time to start spring cleaning. PCWorld recently reported that Microsoft quietly published a support document that lets people know that people without enough space might find a bit of trouble installing the October 2018 update on their Windows 10 machines. Usually, the updates will inform users when they need to clear space but in the case of this update, it won’t show up. Microsoft is simply telling users to leave enough space. How much space is enough space? Well, that’s what we don’t know at the moment. Microsoft will finalize the update by next week but we’re hoping they at least gave us some heads up. The update could range anywhere from hundreds of megabytes to a couple of gigabytes. For now, just make sure to clear out some files or programs you no longer use. We’ll let you know when we hear about what the actual size of the update will be.
