Good news for everyone who has been holding out for the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, it is coming to Canada and the US on February 9th. The not so good news, it will cost $900 for the 64GB model which means the top of the line 128GB model will likely cost over $1000.
Intel's Market Development Manager Joe Ellis showed off some of the latest Intel powered Windows 8 convertibles that offer interesting designs that can switch from notebook to tablet. Lenovo's Yoga is one of the most awaited models featuring a full Windows 8 experience in both tablet and notebook form factors.
Microsoft is going to make it easy and affordable to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro once it is available. A blog post on the Windows Team Blog states, " Starting at general availability, if your PC is running Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 you will qualify to download an upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for just $39.99 in 131 markets. And if you want, you can add Windows Media Center for free through the “add features” option within Windows 8 Pro after your upgrade."
