Breaking news: Next Generation iPhone 'lost and found'
By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla
It seems that the next iPhone was lost and found in a bar in Redwood City, California. Gizmodo has procured the device and examined it and they have photos as well as video showing the next gen iPhone.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/19/apples-4th-generation-iphone-revealed/. The new iPhone is scheduled for a June release (possibly July in Canada). Apple’s top brass must be livid, knowing how secrecy is of utmost importance to them. This find totally preempts the “…one more thing!” many expect from Apple release events. We can’t help but feel bad for the person who lost the phone.
What surprises us is the drastic change in design dynamics from the more organic and rounded form factor to something blocky and square-ish. No mention of the processor, memory capacity or other particulars as it seems Apple remotely-wiped the device once it ascertained that it was indeed missing
Interesting things to note.
-Front facing camera for video chat
-larger rear camera possibly higher resolution, looks like it has a flash
-smaller screen but seems to be much larger resolution than the 3GS
-uses a Micro-SIM
-The rounded rear plastic is gone. The back is flat plastic, ceramic or glass and is super sleek.
-Larger battery
-Heavier than iPhone 3GS, more similar in weight and heft to the original iPhone
So? What do you think? Let us know if the new iPhone moves you and will you be getting one.
