Samsung Wave previewed!- First Bada device coming to Canada

Canadianreviewer.com previews the Samsung Wave. A European and Canadian handset running Samsung's Bada OS. This features the first Super-AMOLED screen, a 5 Megapixel camera and apps and widgets.

We previewed the Samsung Wave S8500, the first Bada OS powered device coming to Canada. Bada OS is Samsung's own open mobile OS complete with an app store and developer community. Hit jump for more photos and the product specs.
The Samsung Wave, expected to be launched by Bell Mobility, is also the first phone to sport a Super AMOLED screen which is Samsung's efficient new screen technology that offers great detail and a wide viewing angle while using up less battery life. Our impressions from the brief time we spent with the device.

The phone features a 1 GHz [4] SoC, which internally contains an ARM Cortex A8 CPU core that is identical to the ARM Cortex CPU core used in Apples A4 package on package SoC .[5][6] Plus a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.3 inch touchscreen Super AMOLED (Super Active-matrix OLED display), A-GPS, 2GB/8GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for an additional 32GB and Samsung's new software platform Bada. It is the first phone to run on that platform. It also includes TouchWiz 3.0, a user interface developed by Samsung.
