Videotron to offer HTC Flyer 4G Android Tablet
Videotron has said that it will begin to carry the HTC Flyer 4G tablet, powered by Google’s Android™ 2.3 operating system. Videotron becomes the only carrier to sell the device. See our review of the WiFi version of the HTC Flyer and read on.
Robust performance and advanced functionalities in a small frame
With the HTC Flyer 4G, customers can browse the Web anywhere anytime over Videotron’s 4G network or a Wi-Fi connection. The device boasts a powerful 1.5 Mhz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm inside its aluminum shell. It supports Adobe Flash 10.1 and comes loaded with HTC SenseTM technology, which delivers stunningly fluid, hi-res images on its 7” touchscreen. With the optional digital pen, the HTC Scribe™, it is possible to write, draw or highlight information, and then share it via email, Evernote™, Facebook or Twitter.
Pre-loaded with apps
Videotron has also installed an array of apps to provide a rich entertainment experience, including illico web, and the Suggested applications by Videotron window, through which users can access a selection of the best software for the device. With the HTC Flyer 4G, Videotron customers also get a free three-month subscription to the electronic editions of Le Journal de Montréal andLe Journal de Québec, and to TVA e-mag, which lets users read French-language magazines on their tablets.
Internet on your tablet
At the same time, Videotron is launching an optional Internet on your tablet service with a range of data plans to suit the browsing and downloading needs of all customers. Internet on your tablet comes with a choice of two pricing options: fixed or flexible. With fixed pricing, customers choose one of the available data plans. With Videotron’s new flexible rates, customers can opt to be billed each month for the data plan that matches their usage.
